CLR is sponsoring a Student Essay Contest.

We to hear from youth living in Detroit, your opinion matters! What do you like about Detroit? What do you not like? What is your idea to improve Detroit?

Write an essay on the theme, "What Would I Do?" and discuss an issue affecting Detroit that is important to you and what you would do to help solve it.

Open to 12th grade students residing in the City of Detroit, the first prize winner will receive a $1,000 college scholarship and the second prize winner will receive a $500 college scholarship.

Deadline for submissions is Friday, March 11th.
